Blog Entry 2
Hi guys its me again!! Welcome to back to my blog , today I'll be sharing with you my team's progress with our product idea, The Saivam Converter, which is a machine that converts beans to fake meat.
Now you may asking why did we even choose to design a product like this?? After many discussions and many rejected ideas we decided that we should design a product that can benefit the Earth and not contribute to global warming. Therefore, we decided to design a beans to fake meat converter. This machine that we envision not only does not produce any pollution, it also does not require a lot of resources to produce which is the case for raising livestock like chicken, pigs and cows.
After getting a general idea of what we wanted to do, my group was tasked to incorporate SCAMPER into our idea so as to "upgrade" it. Now you may ask what is SCAMPER? SCAMPER process is a way for to generate ideas and possibilities related to the idea we already have in mind.

1. Lab-grown meat. Extract a cell from an animal and cutivate them in a reactor to form a piece of meat. (Substitute)
2. Machine to combine egg whites with beans to create meat texture (Combine)
3. Device a machine that kneads and ferments wheat flour to create seitan, a meat substitute. (Adapt)
4. 3D print meat shaped food using a edible plant based filament (Modify)
5. Extrusion of globular protein in plants decreases the structure of protein being broken hence, by cross-linking and stabilising the fibrous structure via microbial enzyme, transglutaminase globular protein is mostly preserved. (Modify)
